In-house Blinds Returns Policy
At Inhouse Blinds, we strive to ensure you’re delighted with your made-to-measure blinds and shutters. Our returns policy is designed to be fair, transparent, and compliant with Irish consumer laws. Please read the details below to understand your rights and our process for returns, refunds, or replacements.
1. Custom-Made Blinds and Your Rights
As our blinds and shutters are custom-made to your exact specifications, they are exempt from the standard 14-day cooling-off period under the EU Consumer Rights Directive. However, we’re committed to your satisfaction and offer a returns process for eligible cases, such as faulty products or manufacturing errors.
2. 14-Day Returns for Non-Custom Items
For non-custom items (e.g., accessories or samples), you have 14 days from the date of delivery to notify us of your intent to return. To be eligible, items must be unused, in their original packaging, and in resalable condition.
- How to Return: Contact our team at 089 611 6213 or email info@inhouseblinds.ie to request a return. We’ll provide instructions and a return address.
- Return Costs: You are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is faulty or incorrect.
- Refund Process: Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we’ll issue a refund to your original payment method within 7 working days.
3. Faulty or Incorrect Blinds
If your blinds arrive faulty, damaged, or not as ordered (e.g., wrong size or colour due to our error), we’ll resolve the issue at no cost to you.
- Notify Us: Contact us within 14 days of delivery via phone (089 611 6213) or email (info@inhouseblinds.ie). Please provide your order number, a description of the issue, and photos if possible.
- Resolution: Depending on the issue, we’ll arrange a replacement, repair, or full refund. If a return is needed, we’ll cover all shipping costs.
- Processing Time: Replacements or refunds will be processed within 7-10 working days after inspection.
We thoroughly check all measurements and specifications before manufacturing. If blinds are made to the measurements you provided but don’t fit due to an error on your part, we cannot offer a refund or replacement. However, we may be able to assist with adjustments at an additional cost—contact us to discuss options.
4. Cancelling Your Order
You may cancel your order before production begins. Contact us as soon as possible at 089 611 6213 or info@inhouseblinds.ie.
- Before Production: Full refund issued within 7 working days.
- After Production: As blinds are custom-made, cancellations after production starts are not eligible for refunds.
5. Our Quality Guarantee
All Inhouse Blinds products come with a 12-month quality guarantee covering manufacturing defects. If you encounter an issue within this period, contact us, and we’ll arrange a repair or replacement where applicable. This guarantee does not cover damage due to misuse, improper installation (if not done by our team), or normal wear and tear.
